The Finseth homestead was established in 1894 by Doug's great grandfather, Martin Finseth, one of four Norwegian settlers that formed a community at Bardo, south of Tofield, Alberta. Always a gathering place, the Finseth farm housed the original Bardo post office and store in the log house that was built in 1896. The house has undergone a few renovations over the years ... little things like running water and power. After 20 years away working we are pleased to be able to call this special place, home again. And yes we are still renovating!
